Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (born 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey) is the child of gospel superstar Cissy Houston. The singer began her singing career in the choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when she was a child and at fifteen, she was singing back vocals professionally alongside their mother in Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. Then she went on to join the backing vocals of Lou Rawls and Jermaine as well as her mom. Her work as the lead vocalist in New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record labels, including Arista who she signed her contract in 1982 and continued to work with them for the rest of career. Her debut album Whitney Houston was released in 1985, and was the most-seller album of the debut artist. It featured a number of hits including How Will I know You Love Me, Saving all My Love For you and the most loved love of all. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping songs in succession. The album was sold to three million people in its first year, and 25 million globally. She won her the first six Grammys. The Whitney follow-up in 1987 with the singles What Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her debut album. But it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as an artist with the highest sales. Although her movie performance and soundtrack weren't well received, their Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and its album that accompanied it dominated the charts for singles and albums across the world for several months. The album sold over 44 million copies. That same year she married ex-New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she has a single daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. Around this time, her well-documented drug use started and in 1996 she became a daily user.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she is more commonly known as, is an American journalist as well as a political analyst for CNN. The shows she hosts on weekends are Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. She has worked for other famous channels before, as well, including NBC as well as CBS. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List prize by Elle magazine. She is known to have amazing anchoring and reporting skills, and is loved by the younger journalists.
