April Ross
April Ross was one of the few female beach volleyball players who have won medals in more than one Olympics. She is set to compete in Tokyo to compete for her third Olympic gold medal along with Alix Klineman, a first-time Olympian. Ross is determined to earn more than her initial Olympic medal. As she is 39 she could have her last chance. She is still confident, however. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even If we play our best I believe we can be able to win gold." Also, I am going be relying on a little bit of good luck. Ross born the 22nd, 1982 in Costa Mesa California. She lived there along with her entire family. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of activities while at Newport Harbor High School. As a pre-schooler she played indoor volleyball along with basketball and track. But she clearly was an edge over the other players in the latter sport. In her own biography her high school days, she was a volleyball player as an outside setter (middle blocker) as well as a the setter (outside blocker). Thanks to her hard work she was named in 1999 as the Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. She also won her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross and Klineman began their partnership in 2017, However, Ross had been a beach-scene star for years before. She has had the chance to win numerous events, and one was won by the legendary player of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until the year 2013. Kessy was Ross's co-coach at the World Championships of 2009. The duo took silver in London's Olympics. They were beaten out for the gold by the legendary group of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor when she retired. They both went on to take home the bronze beach volleyball medal at the Rio Olympics 2016. They were joined by Walsh Jennings. Following high school, and for a few many years before hitting the beach as a professional Ross was a ball for the USC Trojans as a collegiate. Her experience at USC was quite impressive. In her first year at the school, 2000 was when she won the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of Award and also be named an All-American. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans reach their first Final Four. The second season of her career she suffered a devastating personal loss and still managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. In her last two years in the Trojans program, she guided them to a national title every year. In 2003-04, Ross was named the best female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in America through the Honda Sports Award. Ross who was who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross was not able to witness Ross reach beach volleyball's highest stage. Ross's mom died from cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. Her mother is still close to her heart. Margie is a beach lover and in daily life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
