Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father and mother are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated from Mendocino County to California when she was 7 years old. There was no electricity. Ryder became an avid reading book because there was television. Ryder was 12 when she was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In 1986, she got her first role on the big screen in the film Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder faced bullying during her teenage years. Ryder was hopeful that her work as an actress could help. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. But she continued to chase the dreams she had. She got her break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder continued to play successful parts in a variety of films. He was nominated for two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
